Peugeot has made grinding mechanisms in France since 1840, and the Paris salt mill puts that pedigree in a column of PEFC-certified beechwood under a deep piano-black lacquer. Its corrosion-resistant steel mechanism shatters and then crushes coarse salt for exactly the texture you want, adjustable from a fine dusting to a rugged crunch with a turn of the top knob.
