Handsome enough to leave out on the counter, which is exactly where it will end up living.

Olive wood has been carved into Mediterranean kitchen tools for centuries for good reason: it is dense and strong without being heavy, and no two pieces carry the same grain. The pierced blade lets liquid drain back into the pan so what reaches the plate is not swimming, and the edge is gentle enough for a nonstick skillet. Oil it now and then and it darkens into a patina that makes brand new utensils look nervous.

  • Fine Italian olive wood, made in Europe
  • Pierced blade drains liquids for stirring, mixing, dividing, tasting, turning and mess free serving
  • Lightweight yet strong; will not scratch surfaces
  • Safe for use on nonstick and metal cookware
  • Wood is sourced from selected groves mainly in southern Italy, harvested when olive production ceases or from pruned branches
  • Hand wash only
  • Coat occasionally with mineral oil to keep the olive wood looking its best
