Kyocera's mandoline has a double-edged advanced ceramic blade, so it slices on both the push and the pull. It makes even, thin 1.5 mm slices of fruits and vegetables for salads, stir-fries, gratins and tarts, with no setup required. The ceramic blade is impervious to acids, juices, oils and salts, so it won't alter the taste, smell or appearance of food, and it won't rust.
