Wilton Candy Eyeballs

Two of these turn a cupcake into a character with opinions.

The trick is that they need nothing but a dot of icing to stay put, so a plain frosted cookie becomes a monster in about four seconds of work per treat. One 25 g jar goes a long way across a party's worth of cupcakes, cookies and cake. Keep them somewhere cool and dark and they will be ready for next October too.

• Black and white candy eyeball sprinkles
