Kamenoko Tawashi Tamura Cleaning Brush
products.product.pickup_availability.unavailable
Shaped like a turtle shell, which turns out to be exactly how a hand wants to hold a scrub brush.
Kamenoko Tawashi has been hand-tying this one in Tokyo since 1907: coir-fiber palm bristles wound into iron wire and bent into a gentle dome. The name kameno-ko means child of the turtle, and the curve is the whole trick, giving your knuckles clearance while the medium-stiff coir takes on potatoes, cast iron, and grout. It is soft enough on skin that plenty of people keep one in the bath for back, hands, and feet.
- All-natural palm coir bristles, vegan and biodegradable
- Iron-wire core for dense, lasting structure
- Medium stiffness, versatile across kitchen, garden, and bath
- Hand-tied in Japan to the original 1907 spec
- Materials: palm fiber and iron wire
- Care: rinse and shake dry, hang between uses
- Avoid prolonged soaking, which can rust the iron core
- Approx. 4.25 x 2.75 x 1.75 inches
