We have been on this block since 1977 and we keep both cylinder types in stock, so you do not have to know which machine you own before you walk in.

$16.59 to exchange an empty cylinder for a full one. $29.99 for a brand new cylinder if you do not have an empty to trade in, which is what most people need the first time.
You are paying for the gas, not the metal. That is why bringing the empty back matters: it cuts the cost roughly in half every time after your first one.
We carry both cylinder types
SodaStream changed its cylinder design a few years ago, and plenty of shops only stock one style. We stock both.
- Classic screw-in carbonator. The original design, threaded, twists into the machine. Fits Fizzi, Jet, One Touch, Source, Genesis and most older models.
- Quick Connect (CQC). The newer cylinder with the colored top that clicks into place in one motion, no twisting. Fits Terra, Art, Duo and E-Terra.
Not sure which one you have? Bring the empty in and we will match it. That is the whole point of doing this in a shop instead of a website.
How the exchange works
- Bring your empty cylinder in during store hours. One or several, it does not matter.
- We check the cylinder is a SodaStream carbonator and still in usable condition.
- We hand you a full one of the same type, straight across.
- You pay $16.59 per cylinder at the register and you are out the door.
It takes about two minutes. You are welcome to reserve one online and pick it up, but you do not need to. Walk-ins are the normal way people do this.
Why people come here for it
The alternatives are mailing a pressurized cylinder back and forth, waiting on a delivery service, or driving to a big-box store on the far side of Brooklyn and hoping the peg is not empty. We are a neighborhood kitchen shop in the middle of Park Slope with the cylinders behind the counter and someone there who can answer a question about your machine.
While you are in, this is also a shop packed floor to ceiling with cookware, knives, bakeware, coffee and tea gear and the small tools that are annoying to buy online. Most people come in for gas and leave with something else.

Yes. We stock both the Quick Connect (CQC) cylinders for Terra, Art, Duo and E-Terra machines, and the classic screw-in carbonators for Fizzi, Jet, One Touch, Source and Genesis.
How many bottles does one cylinder make?
A 60 litre cylinder carbonates up to about 126 bottles of sparkling water, depending on how fizzy you like it.
Can you ship a cylinder to me?
No. CO2 cylinders are pressurized and cannot be shipped, which is why this is an in-store exchange. You can reserve online and pick it up, or simply walk in.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Come in any time during store hours and we will do it at the counter.
Can I use a discount code on a cylinder?
No, discount codes do not apply to SodaStream cylinders or exchanges.
